  GENERAL

 

National School Counselor Week: February 3rd – 7th.  Thank you very much Sandcrab School Counselors (Coy, Fingeroth, Les, Villafane) for your daily diligence!  You are greatly appreciated for your work and the wide variety of duties your job role entails! Claws up!

PERT registration is open for the February test. Check your VCS email, go to seabreezehigh.org or come to the guidance office for the QR code.

Student IDs –

  • You must have a student ID to enter campus.
  • Remember to have you ID worn around your neck or clipped to the top of your shirt, all day, every day.  
  • It must be visible, not under your shirt or the bottom of your shirt. 
  • Students without IDs are asked to report to the activity’s office located in guidance to acquire an ID. 

IDs are for campus safety and ALL students are required to have a 2024-2025 School ID on their person daily while on campus.  Replacement IDs are $5.

Every student will need to bring a fully charged laptop to school this year.  Forms can be found in the media center and on SHS website.  Forms must be signed by your parent/guardian and with their driver’s license number listed.  You can check a laptop out in media center during lunch.

SCHOOL WAY CAFE

School Way Café will serve meals (breakfast and lunch) to all students at no charge.

ACADEMICS

STUDENT LIFE

Administration would like to remind all students of the importance of academic originality on all assignments. The VCS code of conduct policy forbids any form of academic dishonesty, including the inappropriate use of generate AI. Students should understand that Turnitin.com regularly conducts software upgrades to improve its AI detection tool.

UGLY HOLIDAY SWEATER DAY is next Tuesday, December 17, 2024    Unpack that ugly holiday attire and dress up!  

ACCOLADES

Congratulations to our varsity game day competitive cheer team who competed at the FHSAA state competition last weekend!! with 39 teams in their division, they ended with a 7th place finish in the state. 

Congratulations to all of our lady lifters who competed at Regionals this past weekend. We had a great showing!!  

Moving on to states are freshman Madison James and Senior Sofia James.  Great job, girls!!

SENIORS

Please come by Felicia Franklin’s office to make sure your name is spelled correctly for graduation.  

Senior Class meeting-Friday, January 31, 2025 at 8:45. You will get your senior t-shirt, have the class panoramic taken and receive valuable information about senior events, graduation and more.  Be sure and check Purchase and Pay for any outstanding obligations you owe and take care of those now.  Please go to first period, then you will be released over the intercom to go to the auditorium. 

Grad Bash is coming up in the new year and tickets are now on sale under the purchase and pay option or in person.  Space is limited so don’t delay. Deadline to purchase has changed to February 27, 2025.  See Mrs. Savary in Activities for more information.  Permission forms can be found under the senior tab at www.seabreezehigh.org

SPORTS

CONGRATULATIONS to the boys wrestling team for their (46 – 28) victory over Pine Ridge!  Winning by pin were Caden Robbins, Shane Triplett, Cash Kurz, Aiden Hedge, Samuel Moore, and Luke Cloer.  William Sites and Spencer Timm both won by Tech fall.  Great wrestling guys!

CLUB/ORGANIZATIONS

Frizbreeze will be meeting this Thursday afterschool at the football fields. 3:50-4:50. Please see Mr. Norvell at 3-204 with any questions.

Volunteer Opportunities

It's that time of the year, and the Daytona Beach Juneteenth Committee is gearing up for the 2025 Juneteenth Celebration on Sat. June 14, 2025. This is the Largest Juneteenth Celebration in the State of Florida, for the past 27 years! The celebration welcomes a diverse audience of approx. 6,500 attendees, over 125 vendors, a full day of entertainment, local school drum lines, mascots, and more!!!   The festival is from 11am to 7pm, Here's a link to our website,
