SCA would like to welcome our students, faculty, and guests on campus today and remind you to “Be Aware, Be Kind, and Be the face of Good.”



Student IDs – Remember to have your ID accessible to be shown when asked. You must have an ID to show when you enter campus.  Those students without IDs will be asked to report to the activities office to acquire an ID.  IDs are for campus safety and ALL students will be  required to have a 2022-23 ID when you are on campus.  Replacement IDs are $10


School Way Café will serve meals (breakfast and lunch) to all students at no charge. Free, free, free

Attention students taking AP courses with Volusia Online Learning or Florida Virtual School. In order to participate in AP exams in the spring, you must provide your JOIN REQUEST form to Mrs. Picott in the Main Office. The deadline is Tuesday, October 4th.


On Wednesday, October 12th, all students will be participating in College Board Assessments:

9th grade-PSAT 8/9, 10th grade-PSAT/NMSQT, 11th grade-PSAT/NMSQT, 12th grade-SAT

Sophomore Court Royalty voting unfortunately had a technical glitch.

  • Therefore, for ONE DAY ONLY, we will have paper voting available during lunch for Sophomores @ Rm 6-105.
  • Please be prepared to show your ID and vote for (2) representatives!

Thank you to all that participated!  All Court Members, please stop by room 6-105 at some point today to get your picture taken!



Attention Seniors; if you have not already had your Senior portrait taken by Speedway Custom Photo, the deadline has been extended to September 30th. However, your photo will not appear in the yearbook if you do not schedule your appointment before the deadline. Don't miss out. Call Speedway Custom Photo Lab at (386) 258-5051 and schedule your photo session before it's too late.


Seniors are you applying for Financial Aid join us at Seabreeze High School on 10/4 @ 5:30 for our financial aid night. A financial aid representative from one of the local universities will be here to answer questions and help parents begin the FAFSA application. Snacks will be provided by our SGA. Bring your laptop and questions.  The meeting will take place in the new college and career room 7-104.



Congratulations to the Boys Bowling Teams for their win over Mainland (7-0)!  Leading the boy’s team with high scores were, Brayden Barnes - with a score of 221, Michael Nichols - with a score 203, and Wesley Tankersley - with a score of 189.  Great job guys!  Congratulations also to the Girls Bowling Team for their win over Mainland (7-0)!  Leading the team with high scores were Isabella Fontanelli – with a score of 226, Stacey Spaulding - with a score of 220, Kara Beissel – with a score of 213, and Hailey Halcomb – with a score of 210.  Great job ladies!


Congratulations to the Girls’ Golf team for winning the Volusia/Flagler Golf Tournament.  They blew out the second place team by 23 strokes! Amelia Cobb tied the low round for the tournament by firing a 71.  Riley Fletcher placed 3rd with a 73, and Hannah Ashton tied the 3rd lowest round of the tournament with a 75.  Other’s contributing were Hannah Howell, Taylor Dytkowski, and Summer Martin.

Due to the Hurricane Ian, Schools and district offices will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week so that our facilities can be used for shelters.  Any announcements regarding school closures beyond Thursday will be made as soon as we know more about Ian's impact
