Welcome  to the sandbar.  We’re crab-solutley” thrilled to have you with us!  We have a jam-packed list of announcements for you today.

  GENERAL

Student IDs –

• You must have a student ID to enter campus.
• Remember to have you ID worn around your neck or clipped to the top of your shirt, all day, every day.  
• It must be visible, not under your shirt or the bottom of your shirt. 
• Students without IDs are asked to report to the activity’s office located in guidance to acquire an ID. 

IDs are for campus safety and ALL students are required to have a 2024-2025 School ID on their person daily while on campus.  Replacement IDs are $5.

Every student will need to bring a fully charged laptop to school this year.  Forms can be found in the media center and on SHS website.  Forms must be signed by your parent/guardian and with their driver’s license number listed.  You can check a laptop out in media center during lunch.

School Way Café will serve meals (breakfast and lunch) to all students at no charge.

Congratulations to Troupe 1269 for representing Seabreeze at Thespian Competition! We received 8 superiors and 9 excellents. Congratulations to Olivia Giaconi, Lily Barker, Alex Bozeman, Isaiah Mcmillon, Jadyn Doe, Margueritte Pittochi, Lilyan Shields, Ava Warren, and Arielle Pisarczyk on receiving superior ratings on their individual events! Special shout out to Olivia and Lily for winning Honorable Mention for their musical duet! We can't wait to go to state

SENIORS

Seniors…. It’s your day and your day only!  It’s a great excuse to visit your grandparents and borrow your PawPaw’s best PJ’s.  Senior Citizen Day is Tuesday, Nov 19^th!  Share your photos with hjeshare.com  password “sandcrabs”

SPORTS

Attention all boys and girls interested in trying out for Tennis.  There will be a meet and greet with Coach Tom Kelly, today at 4:00 in the media center.  Please make a point to attend if you want to play. 

Boys weightlifting has started. Meet Coach Saunier in the weight room 3:45. You must have all the paperwork completed. If you do not have a physical and all other paperwork completed and ready to turn in, get it completed and turned in by Friday. Friday is the deadline .

Flag football conditioning begins after school on 1/13/25.  It will be on our field At Seabreeze. The athletes need to have completed the sports clearance/impact testing and have an up-to-date sports physical.

Scholarship Information

The Ormond Beach Elks Lodge offers scholarships for students pursuing higher education. One of our key opportunities is the *Most Valuable Student (MVS) Scholarship*, which is awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.  They are committed to helping students with the financial challenges of college while encouraging community involvement. They also offer *Legacy Awards* for children and grandchildren of Elks members, and the *Hope Scholarship*, designed to support students facing financial hardships.  

**How to apply:**

1. Visit the Elks National Foundation website (Most Valuable Student) and create an account.

2. Complete the application, which includes general information, academic records, and more.  

Applications for the MVS Scholarship are open now and close on **November 12th**. Don’t miss this opportunity—apply today!

The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration for Florida Scholarship is now open.  They will be awarding five scholarships this year. Applications are due December 2, 2024.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

First United Methodist Church offers lunch every Tuesday for just $5.00.  An entree with homemade desserts, chips, drink! All for the low low price of 5 bucks. This is for juniors and seniors with an off-campus lunch pass.
