For more information you can visit the PROM page under the Student Life tab of our website www.seabreezehigh.org or IG @seabreezehigh1908 or the Jr & Sr REMIND or their school email Prom Court Parade Thursday, April 3 at lunch in the Café courtyard “Prom Court on parade” to kick off final voting for prom, King and Queen & Prince and Princess. Candidates will have the opportunity to make posters, dress up if they like, and parade around the courtyard at lunch meeting/greeting their peers and campaigning for votes. Tickets are on sale now for the in school performance of Mr. and Miss Seabreeze. The show is on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Tickets are $5.00 and can be purchased in the front office or in the activities office before school, during lunch and after school. DO not wait to get your tickets. UF Dual Enrollment. Fall 2025 application is now open for student registration. Remember this opportunity is for rising 11th and 12th grade students. See attached flyer for more information. ***SENIORS*** LAST senior class meeting will be on Thursday, April 10, 2025, beginning at 9 am. Report to your 1st period class for attendance. Prom, Grad Bash, Graduation rehearsal and ceremony, honors banquets, awards ceremony and much more will be discussed. DO NOT MISS THIS MEETING! SENIOR POEM -Seniors, you are invited to compose a poem to be used on the Most Influential Staff Member Award. The winning poem will appear on the Most Influential plaque, and the senior who composed the winning poem will be recognized at the senior awards ceremony . Turn in two copies of your poem, one with your name and one without to Ms. Lightsey in room 9-003 be the end of the school day on Monday, April 14, 2025. Senior Speakers-Interested in speaking at graduation or a senior event? If so, see Ms. Lightsey in room 9-003 to sign up for an audition by the end of the school day on Monday, April 14, 2025. Vocal Ensemble and AMT auditions will be on April 22nd from 4:00-6:00pm in the chorus room We have the opportunity again this year to partner with the Engineering Scholar's Program at Embry-Riddle (ESPER). ESPER provides students with the opportunity to enroll in several first-year engineering courses. These courses provide students with the opportunity to learn more about engineering design and computer programming. Additionally, students will learn how to apply physics and mathematics to solve engineering challenges. If you are a rising seniors, you are invited to apply. Application Submission Deadline: Friday, April 18, 2025 University of Florida’s American Medical Student Association is inviting you and other students from the state of Florida to join them at their annual Health Careers Convention on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. You will have the opportunity to learn more about different health professions and the University of Florida. There will also be opportunities to connect with admissions counselors, learn more about UF’s undergraduate programs, and tour the university. This program is designed for current sophomores and juniors to learn more about the health care industry in the area. This is for juniors and seniors with an off-campus lunch pass **Volunteer Opportunities** The Northeast Region Special Summer Games is in need of volunteers for their event on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Mainland High School Please see the attached flyer for more information. Teen Team volunteer opportunity at Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens! It is an excellent life-skills, conservation-based program for teens 13 to 17 years old. It is a great way for teens to make like-minded friends, learn something new, and play a vital role in educating Zoo visitors. Teens will receive special hands-on training to educate the public about conservation, present wildlife biofacts, assist in summer camp, lead zoo projects, and have the opportunity to present ambassador animals. They’ll also participate in special events and share their new knowledge on wildlife and conservation issues with guests, learning the skills they’ll need later in life and gaining valuable work experience.
