Good Morning!
**GENERAL**
Student IDs – Remember to have you ID accessible to be shown when asked. You must have an ID to show when you enter campus. Those students without IDs will be asked to report to the activity’s office located in guidance to acquire an ID. IDs are for campus safety and ALL students are required to have a 2023-2024 School ID. Replacement IDs are $5
Every student will need to bring a fully charged laptop to school this year. Forms can be found in the media center and on SHS website. Forms must be signed by your parent with parent driver’s license. You can check a laptop out in media center during lunch.
School Way Café will serve meals (breakfast and lunch) to all students at no charge. Free, free, free

Underclassman photos will be taken next week on Tuesday, September 19 and Wednesday, September 20. A schedule has been sent to all staff as to when your class is scheduled to the auditorium for your picture to be taken.

Congratulations to our boys golf team for their win yesterday over FPC. Freshman Sam Garewal earned medalist honors shooting a 40. Other Sandcrabs contributing in the win were Kyler Crafton, Isaac Baldwin, and Nathan Yarian.
Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Swim Team for a win over Matanzas and Atlantic High School in their swim
meet at the Ormond YMCA Wednesday night. The teams next meet is Wednesday September 27th against Father Lopez at
the Ormond YMCA at 4:30pm, good luck swimmers!!
There will be a meeting for all boys who want to tryout for soccer today at lunch in building 8 Room 8
**CLUB/ORGANIZATIONS**
NHS members your first meeting of the year is today in the media center. Attendance is required and lunch will be served.
There will be an informational Best Buddies meeting today during lunch in the large conference room.
Any students interested in Science, there will be a meeting for the Science Club Monday in Room 8 Building 8 at lunch. Anyone interested in joining is encouraged to attend.
**SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS **
Volusia County Schools has rolled their newest safety campaign, the "See Something, Say Something" campaign, which encourages individuals to report suspicious activities or behaviors to authorities. This vital tool helps prevent potential threats and fosters a sense of collective responsibility. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
First United Methodist Church, Ormond Beach is providing lunch each Tuesday for only $5.00 This is for Juniors and seniors only with off campus lunch privileges. They will have a Moe’s taco bar next Tuesday and in two weeks we will have Chick-fil- a sandwiches. Their Address is 336 S Halifax Drive.
A representative from Daytona State College will be on campus today during lunch in the courtyard to answer any questions ou might have about DSC
The Florida A & M University Volusia National Alumni Chapter will host an Informational Session for Juniors and Seniors who are interested in attending the university. The Informational Session is on September 19, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. A representative will be online to address any questions that potential students may have. This session is opened to students and parents. Please share the attached flyer with students that have expressed an interest in attending FAMU.
