The Allied Health Academy provides students with the opportunity to learn about and get hands on experience with Allied Health Professions.  Allied Health professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders; dietary and nutrition services; rehabilitation and health systems management, among others. Some of those Allied Health Professions include certified athletic trainers, dental hygienists, diagnostic medical sonographers, dietitians, medical technologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, radiographers, respiratory therapists, and speech language pathologists. The students will take a progression of courses in the academy.  The first year course is Medical Skills and Services which covers CPR/AED & First Aid Certification, introduction to health care careers, and history of healthcare.
