Excellent Question!!!!  The funds raised from this awesome event will be donated in the name of Isaac Phillips to the Ronald McDonald House in Gainesville, where Isaac's parents have stayed during his visits to Shands Hospital.

Can I register the day of the event?

We will never turn down a last minute registration.  After all, this is a fundraiser, the more participants, the more successful the fundraiser. However, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a participant bag with your tshirt and other treats if you register that day. Please see our contact page to make special arrangements with our event coordinators.

If I don't actually register, may I still purchase a tshirt to support the event?

Yes, of course. Tshirts will also be on sale that day and at school in the future for a donation of $10.

Can I donate to the event even if I can't be there?

Yes absolutely! Visit our webstore and make a donation to the event in Isaac Phillips' name. The funds raised from this awesome event will be donated in the name of Isaac Phillips to the Ronald McDonald House.

Is there a packet pick-up on race day?

No packet pickup. But, participants may pick up their gift bags at the check-in table as early as Noon that morning.

Why the late start?

We have many events going on during this time, including the SAT that morning at 8 am, recreational sports in Ormond and Daytona Beach.  We want to give everyone a chance to participate if at all possible.

*Plus we can use the extra time in the morning for setup.  Have you ever tried to get teenagers up at 5 am on a Saturday to volunteer?

Are we going to run on the beach?

No. We will begin and end on the Seabreeze track with some of the course meandering around Bellair, A1A and Bank of America.

Can we bring baby strollers, wear headphones, things like that?

If you are going to wear headphones while running, please be safe, considerate of your fellow participants and alert of traffic. If you are going to push a stroller, just let others "play through" if necessary.

Will restrooms be positioned on the course?

Yes. Real restrooms are located at the start and finish line areas inside the track.

Will there be an area for my children while I am in the event?

Yes. We will have a children's play area setup and plentifully supplied with Sandcrab supervisors.

If I have registered for the race, but am not able to compete because of injury or scheduling problems, can I get a refund, carry my entry over to next year’s event or transfer my entry to someone else?

Unfortunately, there are no refunds, transfers or carry-overs for the fundraiser.  We appreciate your generosity in donating your registration fee if you are unable to participate.

How can I get in contact with someone the day of the event?

Please call 386.852.7331 on race day with any last minute race questions.  Before that, please call 386.258.4674, ext 54651, our Seabreeze Activities Office.

What do I receive with my entry?

All participants receive a goodie bag with our gratitude for supporting a fellow Sandcrab in need, an event shirt, and hopefully lots of other snacks and treats donated since this event was planned!
