This course provides instruction for entry-level employment in the fashion and general merchandising industries. The content includes orientation to employment skills, selling, human relations, fashion show production, communications, and career planning as related to the fashion industry. FEE

This course provides instruction for advancement to positions above the entry level employment. The content includes merchandising techniques, marketing math operations, entrepreneurship, designers, terminology and career planning as related to the fashion industry. FEE

This course provides instruction for career sustaining level employment in the fashion industry. It is the third course in the fashion marketing program and is required for gold seal scholarship eligibility. FEE

Marketing and Distribution is a training program designed for students who are interested in careers of Marketing, Management, or Merchandising. The purpose of the course is to provide students with initial exposure to the knowledge, skills and attitudes for employment in the wide variety of marketing occupations. All students are encouraged to become members of DECA.

Marketing Applications provides instruction with an in-depth study of marketing in a free enterprise society and provides the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for employment in a wide variety of marketing occupations. Course content includes merchandising, economics, marketing functions, product and service technology, and entrepreneurship. All students are encouraged to become members of DECA.

This course provides instruction for career sustaining level employment in the industry. The content includes applied skills related to the marketing functions including employment skills required for success in marketing and related career planning. This is the third course in the marketing program and required for gold seal scholarship eligibility. All students are encouraged to become members of DECA.

The purpose of this course is to provide students with additional competencies in a marketing education program that will enhance their opportunities for employment in the occupation chosen by the student. The content is prescribed by the instructor based upon the individual student’s assessed needs for the directed study.
