About Us

The Academy of Web and Digital Media, new for the 2011-2012 school year, provides students with the opportunity to combine concepts of print and web media in the creation of brochures and other printed materials and web sites to display the materials. Students will take Web Design and/or Digital Design courses integrated with academic courses for a hands-on curriculum preparing students for careers such as visual arts, web development, and interactive design. Programs Used

Adobe Photoshop CS4- A graphics editing program featuring a new 3D engine allowing painting directly on 3D models, wrapping 2D images around 3D shapes, converting gradient maps to 3D objects, adding depth to layers and text, getting print-quality output with the new ray-tracing rendering engine.

Adobe InDesign- A software application that can be used to create works such as posters, flyers, brochures, magazines, newspapers and books. Designers and graphics production artists are the principal users, creating and laying out periodical publications, posters, and print media.

Adobe Dreamweaver CS4- A web development tool that lets you create dynamic, interactive Web pages containing text, images, hyperlinks, animation, sounds, video, and other elements. Dreamweaver can be used to create individual Web pages or complex Web sites.
