Auxiliary Audition Information

Formal auditions for the Seabreeze High School Dance Team will be held on Thursday, May 12th from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. in the Seabreeze High School Gymnasium.  The entire audition will be closed to the public, and no one will be permitted to enter the gym after auditions have begun.  All candidates should be done by 6:30, so please make transportation arrangements ahead of time.

 I will conduct a mandatory clinic Monday, May 9th – Wednesday the 11^th from 4:00 to 6:00p.m. at the high school.  During this time, candidates will learn a short marching routine, drills, basic dance skills, dance routine, and a flag routine.  All routines will be performed at auditions.  .

 Four teacher recommendations are required from each candidate by Wednesday May 11th.   Teachers (must be from the current year), may send them to me through the county mail: Josie Bell, Seabreeze High School.  Candidates:  DO NOT hand deliver these recommendations.  Any forms received in an inappropriate manner will be discarded.

 Those chosen to represent Seabreeze High School as a member of the Sunsations, Illusions, or Majorettes will be notified by mail within one week of the audition date.  A phone call will follow the acceptance letter to verify that you accept the responsibilities which accompany membership. 

 The following is a breakdown of the evaluation process:

• 20% teacher recommendations

• 5% GPA

• 10% Marching routine & drills

• 10%  Flag routine

• 20% Skills list

• 30% Dance Routine

• 5% Interview

 **** Every candidate should come to the clinic in shorts, leotard or fitting top, hair back, and tennis shoes.  Please do not wear jewelry.  Additionally, every candidate should present themselves in a very neat and tidy manner on try-out day.

**** All candidates need to bring a copy of their 3^rd nine weeks report card along with all signed contents of this packet.  You MUST have your physical and liability forms completed to participate in the clinic.
