Federal Minimum Wage To Increase Second Step In Three Part Increase (Washington, D.C., April 3, 2008) – The federal minimum wage increase enacted in 2007, mandated the increase take place in three increments beginning in 2007, 2008, and 2009. The second increment of this increase goes into effect July 24, bringing the federal minimum wage to $6.55 per hour from the current $5.85 per hour that was mandated last year. The third and final increment will occur next July, which will increase the level to $7.25 per hour. The U.S. Department of Labor has produced a minimum wage poster that reflects the new increases. Posters can be downloaded from the department’s Website at http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsa.htm for English, http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsaspan.htm for Spanish,and http://www.dol.gov/esa/regs/compliance/posters/flsaspan.htm for Chinese.Every employer that has employees subject to the Fair Labor Standard Act (FLSA) minimum wage provisions is required to post a notice explaining the act. The poster must be in a conspicuous place in the place of business where employees are able to read it. |

We are looking for anyone ages 16 and
older to fill lifeguarding positions for us this year. The park opens
March 14, however training will begin in February. Applicants can stop by anytime during business hours to fill out an application. The Family Entertainment Center is open Mon-Sun 10am-10pm. Hours are very flexible ranging anywhere from 15-40 depending on the applicant's availability. Starting wages are $7.25. We have not set an exact date for training but all applicants who turn in an application will receive a phone call within 48 hours.

DME is located behind the Daytona Beach International Airport, and the world-famous Daytona International Speedway on an 11-acre campus. Our Contract Labor department is dedicated to assisting our mailroom in handling and finishing mail pieces that cannot be done by our equipment, such as: Inserting keys and catalog assembly.
